As we all know, protecting our environment is increasingly vital. We should stop actions like cutting trees and littering the environment before proper waste processing. These actions have caused numerous issues such as fertile land turning into desert, rivers getting polluted, and the air and temperature becoming increasingly worse. Therefore, we must act to rectify this situation. We should prefer walking or cycling to commute instead of driving, and avoid using plastic bags. Our government must take measures to prevent factories from producing pollutants like smoke.

Speech 2:

Many are active in fighting against injustice to diverse groups, and now I speak about fighting for our environment's respect. Although the environment cannot speak to denounce what humans have done to it, it retaliates through its actions. In the past, the Chinese cut down vast quantities of trees at the source of the Yellow River, leading to deforestation and severe flooding. Consequently, the once-lush Huangtu plateau transformed into a barren land with few plants. Similarly, in several developed nations, unfiltered toxic gas emissions from numerous chemical factories resulted in cities being choked with poisonous air, leading to fatalities. The suffering we experience is merely a fraction of what nature has endured. We must show respect to the environment by taking action.

Measures should be implemented to safeguard the environment we rely on. Firstly, governments should prohibit the destruction of vegetation, rivers, lakes, oceans, and the atmosphere. Secondly, there should be public awareness campaigns about the importance of environmental protection. Thirdly, businesses should prioritize their impact on the environment and devise solutions to address these issues. Only by changing our treatment of the environment can we coexist harmoniously with it. Only by saving the environment can we save ourselves.

Speech 3:

A low-carbon environment is everyone's responsibility. Our lifestyle reflects how low-carbon we are - that is, how much carbon dioxide we emit, use, and consume. Low carbonity manifests in a person's clothing, food, shelter, and occupation.

We also face numerous environmental issues around us. Garbage is everywhere, the "mother river" is no longer clear - it has become a "paradise of garbage!" Cars crowd the roads, and their exhaust fumes are disgustingly polluting the air. Factory emissions stretch into the sky like long lines, making the sky less blue and deep and the air less fresh and clean.

The true essence of a low-carbon environment is a lifestyle choice rather than an ability limited to the average person. It simply lacks people's power. In fact, people's actions can change the future. For instance, we can reuse rice water to water plants, saving water and nourishing them simultaneously. We can also bring our own bags when shopping, whether free or charged. Avoid using disposable cups by carrying your own glass of water; use permanent chopsticks, lunch boxes, and avoid disposable utensils. Develop habits of turning off electrical power at random to avoid wasting energy. Try not to use the refrigerator, air conditioning excessively; during hot weather, fans or portable coolers can be used instead. Low-carbon environmental protection represents a healthier, more natural, safer, and lower-cost way of life.

The problem of "white pollution" caused by used plastic is becoming increasingly severe, with plastic shopping bags playing a significant role. In China, approximately three billion plastic shopping bags are consumed daily, leading to significant resource waste and heavy environmental pollution. Fortunately, the government has implemented a nationwide ban on the use of free plastic bags, requiring all stores and supermarkets not to provide customers with free plastic bags after June 1st. This rule will undoubtedly reduce plastic bag usage and enhance environmental awareness. It is highly recommended that we switch to cloth bags and shopping baskets going forward.
